IIBS Finishing School | Bangalore
"The true measure of a lady, or a gentleman, is not based on what they have, but rather on who they are"
The first Business School in India to adopt the concept of Finishing School. The mission of the IIBS Finishing School (IFS) is to mould the future of the nation, by moulding the people who will determine the future of the nation. This service will provide our students with a balance and well-rounded education, develop them to their full potential, and nurture them into good citizens, conscious of their social responsibilities to family, society and country.
Thought
Spurred by technological advances and globalization, the global economy has been transformed in the past 25 years. An industrial economy driven by raw materials and physical output has given way to a new, knowledge-based economy driven by ideas, services, and innovation. This has led to fundamental changes in the labour market and a demand for education and training.
Knowledge-based jobs (mostly service-sector driven) have been among the fastest-growing jobs and have increased as a share of total employment. Education and skills have become increasingly important as paths to wealth creation and career growth.
In India, the education system largely doesn't provide a candidate/student performance level assessment and understanding of his/her skill competence which will help the candidate to prepare for his or her career choices. What this results into is a largely frustrated human capital due to repeated rejection in job interviews, over-expenditure on sourcing of 'right-skilled' candidates for the required job and a misbalance in 'knowledge-driven' marketplace.

IIBS Finishing School (IFS) is the career training division of IIBS. IFS offers intensive, short-term, and industry-oriented training programs designed to boost employability. The division also identifies and trains candidates in their areas of strength.
