What are the subjects in MBA finance?
The finance syllabus in management education consists of both core and elective subjects. IIBS is delighted to announce an MBA program in Finance specialization has very interesting subjects which start from the basics of accounting and financial management to the very advanced level of derivative management to bitcoins evaluation. The program is intended to support students who wish to pursue a professional career in the area of finance.
Master of Business Administration in Finance is a two-year (4 Semesters) program, specializing in various aspects of finance, including financial planning analysis and control. It also lays emphasis on relevant areas of Accounting, Taxation, Strategic finance, Capital markets, and Investment. In the first year of MBA Management, accounting and financial management will be taught to the prospective candidates and in the second year Accounting and taxation, investment banking, securities & commodities trading, financial modeling, risk management, financial consulting, catastrophic insurance and applied research.
In the MBA program, till the 3rd trimester, all basic financial concepts will be briefed to the candidates like managers for accounting, corporate finance, and the Indian financial system will be taught to the students. In the second year of MBA students are learning only finance subjects if they are opting for finance as their specialization. Here students will be learning 15 finance specialization subjects in the 4th and 5th trimesters, the glimpse of the subjects will on Managing Banks & Financial Institutions, Investment Analysis & Portfolio Management, Project Appraisal & Finance, Strategic Financial Management, Corporate Taxation, International Financial Management, Mergers, Acquisitions & Restructuring, Financial Engineering, Management of Financial Markets & Services, Derivatives Management, IFRS & Ind As, Tax Planning and International taxation, Behavior Finance.
