As part of the MOM program Dr.Kethan, Professor at IIBS has taken an orientation session on Research Methodology on 7th July 2022. The session was tailor-made to facilitate the Research requirements of the students at IIBS. The trans-disciplinary Session was conceptualized with the intention of knowledge-building on the fundamentals of research concepts, methodologies, and processes in addition to providing hands-on training in Report Making with inputs on the essentials of academic writing. End of the session, Students were given an Activity sheet to frame the title and Identify the scope by reviewing the literature. MBA college in Bangalore

The objectives of the Sessions were

  • To develop knowledge of the fundamentals of research
  • To build knowledge on research design, application & data analysis
  • To develop skills for synopsis development & academic writing

Outcomes of the Session

Demonstrate the ability to choose methods appropriate to research aims and objectives. Understand the limitations of research methods. Develop skills in qualitative and quantitative data analysis and presentation. Develop advanced critical thinking skills followed by an activity where the students framed Tittle, Basics of Review of Literature Procedure & Analysis.

Introduction to Business Concepts and B Quiz

This session was conducted by Prof. Narayan Prasad at 2 nd session of MOM on 7th July 2022. He discussed some key Business concepts with students followed by a Business Quiz. In order to improve decision-making and boost competitive advantage in a setting of rapid change, the session's goal was to assist the students in developing the ability to analyze complex business situations by managing information, applying qualitative and quantitative solutions, and integrating information technology.

The business quiz provided an opportunity for the students to demonstrate their understanding of the subject while also educating them about current business concerns from the organizer's perspective. It was an attempt to spur them on to seek out more information about the current business world. In addition to general knowledge, a quiz also involves making connections, reading between the lines, and coming to a conclusion.

Outcome:

  • Students will be able to approach business decisions strategically and creatively.

  • Students will be able to combine their understanding of the fundamental business processes to address challenging management issues.

  • Acquaint them of the identities of business leaders.

  • Improves their analytical abilities.

  • Facilitates teamwork
