Dr. Tripuraneni Jaggaiah conducted a session for students about IIBS and the PGDM programme on July 21, 2023, the first day of PGDM MOM 2023. He covered the program's benefits as well as its dos and don'ts during the session, providing students with the knowledge they need to thrive academically. He highlighted MOM 2023's goals as well. The IIBS's management orientation Module is created to inspire and involve students through activity-based learning. This strategy has the potential to greatly improve understanding and knowledge retention by making the learning process more engaging and beneficial.

As the students are from diverse origins, he assisted them in adjusting to their new surroundings. It's important to understand that beginning a new stage of life at campus, students from various educational, geographic, and social backgrounds may need some time to get used to their new surroundings.

By giving the students useful information regarding the PGDM programme, the main goal of this session was to energise and boost their confidence. The discussion probably addressed a variety of topics, including:

  • A description of the PGDM programme, its contents, and the academic framework the students will experience during the course of the programme.
  • PGDM's academic standards and requirements. The students can psychologically and emotionally get ready for the difficulties ahead with the aid of this.
  • Introduced the academic staff, support staff, and administrative staff. That might help them feel more at home and a part of the institute.
  • Introduced the students to the many campus amenities, such as the computer labs, libraries, and other spaces that can aid their college navigation.
  • Highlighted the range of accessible clubs, extracurricular activities, and student organisations that might motivate students to take part in extracurricular activities, fostering a comprehensive learning experience.
  • Described the IIBS Alumni Connect, which invites accomplished graduates to share their experiences and success stories in order to engage and inspire current students to pursue excellence.

Additionally, he presented the PGDM academic planner for the subsequent two years. This road map provided students with a clear knowledge of what to expect and showed them how to properly organise their academic journey by outlining the major milestones, events, and expectations throughout the course of the programme.

This session helped the students to foster a welcoming environment where they may get over their early concerns and develop the confidence they need to succeed in their PGDM curriculum. They may feel more at ease as they get to know the course material, the college, and their peers. This will give them the confidence they need to concentrate on their academic and personal development.

Overall, this session was helpful in positioning students for a successful PGDM. Students would have a realistic perspective of what lies ahead, be better equipped to face challenges, and make the most of their academic experience at IIBS.
