On the eve of International Yoga Day, the International Institute of Business Study successfully organized a session on “Yoga for emotional and mental health” on 21-06-2022. Prof Murthy and Kuldeep Sharma, Director – Academics, IIBS addressed the gathering about the importance of yoga in the present day scenario.
Prof. Narappa Reddy, a Yoga trainer was invited as a resource person to deliver the session. The session highlighted the significance of practicing yoga and its effect on the mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being of the individuals. The session highlighted various institutions of importance in yoga. The students are briefed about different Namaskaras and asanas and how they contribute to the health of the individuals. After the briefing, students practiced some Namaskaras and asanas. The session also highlighted making Yoga a career and the demand for it in spreading these ancient and rich technologies all over the world. Teaching, nonteaching, and students actively participated in the session and make it successful The vote of thanks was given by Prof.Anil Kumar, Assistant Professor, PGDM.
