Management is the practical implications of learning theory and concepts. In lieu of this, students are required to have Industrial Visits besides their classes. With this objective in mind, a One day Industrial Visit was Organized by IIBS on 9th Feb 2017 to ‘Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverage Private Limited’ plant in Bangalore, Karnataka.
The visit was planned for the students of MBA Batch 2016-18, accompanied by the Faculty-coordinators (Prof. Saravana Krishnan V. The bus left the IIBS Campus by 8:45 am with all MBA students. The group reached the plant. After giving a brief of the rules & guidelines to be followed, the MBA students were taken to the seminar hall.
An introductory session was conducted by HR Business Partner who provided very useful information about the Coca-Cola Company such as:
A briefing on the history of Coca-Cola
Products offered all over the world i.e. Fanta, Coke, Thumbs Up, Maaza, Sprite, and Kinley.Quality Standards followed
Mentioned about every activity happening in the plant like Cleaning of bottles, filling, capping, labeling & packaging. Lastly, They have splintered the myths about the ill effects of Coca-Cola logically.
After the session, the students were taken to the Assembly Line and briefed the Processes & Operations undertaken by the plant. The filled with curiosity of the students was finally satisfied when a question answer session was conducted by them. The students were provided with full insights about the working of the Plant & each and every question was answered by them. The visit was finally concluded and the group was offered with snacks and refreshing and unlimited cold drinks by the company. The industrial visit to Coca-Cola was a good experience for students in getting live exposure of manufacturing which can help them in their internships & further career.
