To inculcate the understanding of Production, Branding and Marketing among the students. Section A students from the UoM had an opportunity to visit Mysore Sandal Soaps at Yeshwantpur on the Dec 4, 2017. As many as 40 students and one faculty member visited the production centre. The students were welcomed at the nice little museum which depicts a historical perspective of the organization along with showcasing its wide range of products.
Mr. Bala Krishna the In charge from the Organization gave wonderful introduction about the Mysore Sandal as a brand and its journey since its inception until being the leader in the soap industry.
The briefing was followed by a visit to the shop floor where the entire process of production of soap takes place. It is a practice that during the industrial visits the students are not allowed in the shop floor or the production area. There was an exception made this time considering the high level of discipline and professionalism among our students. The students enjoyed and learnt a lot from the people involved in the production arena.
To conclude this brief report it was a wonderful learning experience and the hall mark were our students who showed up in the best mannerism and learning sprit.
