The IIBS students of MBA 2018 Batch invited to attend the Valediction program of Youth for India- an Initiative by SBI Foundation of State Bank of India, Noida for the learning experience and practical exposure of the Social Entrepreneurship. The top executives from the Bank, experts from the Development Sector, representatives from leading CSR firms and NGO officials to be amongst the list of attendees. The event was inaugurated by opening speech Mr Nixon Joseph, President and COO, SBI Foundation, welcoming the guests on the prestigious occasion.
Dr. Pushpendra Rai, Director SBI was the chief guest and Ms. Karnam Malleswari, Olympic medallist was the guest of honour. SBI Youth for India fellowship is a rural fellowship of 13 months for highly educated urban youths to contribute to rural development and come out with innovative and creative solutions to rural issues.
SBI fellows of October Cohort came up with their presentations of their live Project executed in rural India on the major issues broadly covering Education, Health, Food security, Livelihood, Women empowerment, Social Enterprise, Technology, Traditional crafts, Self-governance, Environment, Alternate Energy & Waste Management.
The SBI YFI fellows were presented with a Certificate of Appreciation for their exceptional work towards the development of society. The event concluded with networking dinner at 8:00 pm with eminent guest.
IIBS Bangalore students were given opportunity by Develop India Foundation to attend the prestigious learning event. The students were exposed to a different learning and Challenges in execution of projects with optimum resource which made them realize the importance of today’s youth in the change & development of the society and empowering nation with Entrepreneurship.
