The Annual Alumni Meet of the IIBS Alumni Dubai Chapter took place at the Grand Excelsior Hotel in Deira Town on November 25, 2023. The primary aim was to encourage alumni to connect while honoring their accomplishments. The alumni members arrived at 5 p.m. with their families and were greeted warmly by the registration team, who then started the registration process by filling out forms.
The chief guest of the occasion was Dr. Jay Prakash, the Chairman of IIBS, and the guest of honor was Master Akshit Kennedia, who is recognized as the youngest motivational speaker in the world. In the presence of Alumni Core Members, the program started with a lamp-lighting ceremony carried out by Dr. Jay Prakash and Master Akshit Kennedia. In his welcoming speech, Mr. Sidharth Bajaj, President of the Alumni Association, greeted everyone with a warm welcome.
Master Akshit Kennedia gave a motivational and encouraging address to officially start off the program. He emphasized in his presentation the remarkable vision and development of Dubai, which can be attributed in large part to the visionary leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. His way of thinking has played a significant role in making Dubai the international city that it is today. His forward-thinking attitude is still influencing Dubai's future by promoting an innovative, ambitious, and growing culture that is essential to the city's character.
In his speech, Dr. Jay Prakash provided some insightful ideas and his vision. He emphasized the 49-coin puzzle, which imparts a profound understanding of the value of ongoing optimization and improvement. The capacity to advance, adjust, grow from setbacks, and maximize tactics is essential in life. Continuous improvement is a vital notion that the 49 coins puzzle highlights, whether in personal development, professional efforts, or problem-solving.
The Alumni members shared their personal journeys at IIBS and reflected on their successful careers, offering invaluable insights to the present batch of students. This interaction provided students with a deeper understanding of securing employment opportunities in the UAE as well as globally. Additionally, the current batch of students showcased their talents through cultural performances.
The core vision guiding the meeting was multifaceted. It helped the Alumni members to reunite in a space that nurtured and propelled everyone's growth. It helped the present batch of students to bridge the gap between academia and professional life, empowering current students to navigate their career paths proactively. It helped them to create professional networks also. The speeches of Alumni helped enlighten students about the career prospects within their respective fields.
Muhammed Shahabas, the IAA Secretary, concluded the gathering with a vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to everyone involved in making the event a success followed by a delightful dinner for all attendees, fostering a congenial atmosphere for networking and sharing experiences.
