Bangalore : Graduation Day is that wonderful day when the academic life culminates into an all-important degree. It is a time to celebrate with all those people, teachers, parents and friends who have helped you in the student life and made learning fun.
The invitation was extended to all the graduating students, the Chairman, the Director, the Director – Admissions, the Dean, the Assistant Dean, all the faculty members, the IIBS alumni, and the non teaching staff of IIBS. Mr. Sunil Kumar, alumni of the prestigious Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad and founding CEO & Product Director of GreeneStep Technologies was invited as a Chief Guest for the Graduation Day. Mr. Kumar is also the Founder Director of OPENSCOR, a Supply Chain and Operations knowledge venture.
The event started at 05:00 pm on 9th April, 2016 in the IIBS auditorium. Mr. Subhasish Banerjee, Mr. Enamul Sardar, Ms. Paromita Ganguly, Mr. Oindrila Pal &Mr. Ayushi Srivastava of S15 MBA Batch hosted the event.
The event started with handing over the bouquets to the respected guests, an invocation to the almighty and lighting of the lamp while Asatoma Sadgamaya song was being played in the background.
Prof. NSR.Murthy opened the event with the welcome address. The chief guest was invited to share his experience in the corporate world and guide them towards a bright future. Our Chairman Dr. Jay Prakash spoke about his experiences and learnings; followed by the speech of our Director, Dr. K. Ramadas.
Some of the outgoing students such as Ms. Rubina Chettri, Mr. Bitan Saha, Ms. Aparna Dixit, Mr. Nishant Prasad & Mr. Usman were invited to share their experiences & learnings in IIBS and the corporate world. Mr. Amit Giri, the Vice-President of IIBS alumni shared his experience as well.
The Chief Guest Mr. Sunil Kumar was invited to give the certificates to the outstanding students in their academics. Subsequently, Dr. Jay Prakash, Dr.K. Ramadas and Prof. NSR Murty gave certificates to other students. Post the distribution of the certificates, Dr.K. Ramadas handed over a memento to the Chief Guest as a token of appreciation. Prof. Kuldeep Sharma gave a heartfelt vote of thanks. Finally, all guests were invited to the terrace to par-take a meal together.
