Establishment of IIBS-KSCST IP Cell | MBA Colleges in Bangalore List

IIBS launched the IIBS-KSCST IP Cell and exchanged MOUs with the Government of Karnataka's KSCST. On October 21, 2022, Dr. Jay Prakash, Chairman of the International Institute of Business Studies, Mr. Hemanth Kumar, Executive Secretary of KSCST, Prof. Kuldeep Sharma, Academic Director of the IIBS, Mr.Maheshwar Reddy, Executive Director, Dr. Anilkumar.R, Committee Head and Professor of the IPR Cell, Mr. Vivekananda Sagar, IP Attorney, and Mr. Nagarjua, Project Manager of KSCST, served as the chief guests at the opening of the IIBS's Intellectual Property The session has been attended by all of the employees and students. Academic Director Prof. Kuldeep Sharma delivered the welcome address. On IP, he has briefed. The term "intellectual property" refers to a class of assets that includes intangible works produced by the human mind; it principally includes copyrights, patents, and trademarks. It also covers additional categories of rights, such as those related to trade secrets, publicity, morality, and protection against unfair competition. Intellectual property can be used to protect creative works like music and literature as well as some discoveries, inventions, words, phrases, symbols, and designs.

IIBS-KSCST IPR Cell was introduced by Dr. Anilkumar.R. The IPR Cell's goal is to create a supportive environment for faculties, staff, and students to develop intellectual property, which will be a valuable asset for both the individual and the institution. Dr. Jay Prakash felicitated the chief guests. In his remarks, he extended a warm welcome to the visitor and underlined the need of establishing an IPR Cell in our institute as well as the advantages of intellectual property rights. In his speech, Mr. Hemanth Kumar discussed the state of intellectual property in India at the moment. Following the formal speech, the MOU was signed by Dr. Jay Prakash, Chairman of IIBS, and Mr. Hemanth Kumar, Executive Secretary of KSCST, and cut the ribbon on the new cell office to officially launch the IPR Cell.
