Be Moderate to lead healthy and peaceful Life

Every product manufacturer supports with product to the user to use the product and derive its benefits out of it. For mankind 5000 years ago Lord Krishna has sourced through Arjuna a beautiful and thoughtful manual for the benefit of the universe titled as “ Bhagavad-Gita” .It is applicable and appropriate forever. This treasure now came into the limelight in the world now. It is not a religious text. It is a text/manual for all irrespective of caste, creed, religion and region. Even after 1000 years, we take the quintessence of Bhagavadgitha to shape our future to lead contentment, happy and peaceful life. Shankaracharya,  great scholar said long back it is going to be a great source for mankind.

Recently in a big medical conference at Chennai, a renowned scientist has attended and shared in his deliberations that India is now a hub for diabetic patients in the world. He was surprised to express that Lod Krishna has given a beautiful prescription 5,000 years ago in the 6th chapter of the Bhagavad Gita, Unfortunately, you have not follow to overcome the problem. Advised all to follow to overcome this problem

Prescription in Bhagavadgith 6th Chapter 17th Shloka is as follows.

yukt?h?ra-vih?rasya
yukta-ces?t?asya karmasu
yukta-svapn?vabodhasya
yogo bhavati duh?kha-h?- BG 6.17

yukta — regulated; ?h?ra — eating; vih?rasya — recreation; yukta — regulated; ces?t?asya — of one who works for maintenance; karmasu — in discharging duties; yukta — regulated; svapna-avabodhasya — sleep and wakefulness; yogah? — practice of yoga; bhavati — becomes; duh?kha-h? — diminishing pains.

He who is regulated in his habits of eating, sleeping, recreation and work can mitigate all material pains by practicing the yoga system

Extravagance in the matter of eating, sleeping, defending, and mating—which are demands of the body—can block advancement in the practice of yoga. As far as eating is concerned, it can be regulated only when one is practiced to take and accept as prasadam, sanctified food. Lord Krishna advised satvik food such as vegetables, fruits, grains, milk, etc. In this way, a person in Krishna consciousness becomes automatically trained not to accept food not meant for human consumption. As far as sleeping is concerned, a person is always alert in the discharge of his duties. Unnecessary time spent sleeping is considered a great loss. Therefore, moderate sleep is suggested.

Five moderates are required for stress free and healthy life.

1.  Moderate Diet
2.  Moderate Physical activity
3.  Moderate exertion of your duties for work-life balance
4.  Moderate sleep
5.  Moderate wakefulness.

 Conclusion: To keep ourselves fit and live long the prescription prescribed by Lord Krishna in Bhagavad-Gita in the chapter 6-17 need to be followed at present in this rat race world. Stress we cannot avoid but we can minimize by following this principle.
