Before submitting the application file to the B-school, every MBA candidate should follow Some steps.

According to a Forbes contributor and an MBA applicant adviser,

“Starting early makes the process much more manageable and allows for a stronger, more authentic application, which may enhance the candidate's chances of being accepted into a top MBA programme significantly”.

Step 1: Plan your MBA application

Every serious candidate must organise the entire MBA application process strategically. MBA candidates must comprehend the value of effective planning, which includes creating a strategic plan and sticking to it without major changes. The strategy should address all aspects of the application process, including the GMAT, references, essays, and ideally, a time management plan with interim deadlines to help you get through this difficult process efficiently.

Step 2: The GMAT/CMAT: How to Get a 700+ Score

Preparing for the GMAT or GRE is one of the first steps in the MBA admission process, as most students require at least 3-to 6 months of preparation to attain their maximum potential on these exams. You can even take the test earlier, which will save you one step when you begin your actual preparation. Experts recommend that a diagnostic exam be included in the GMAT preparation so that each candidate can understand his or her skills, shortcomings, and the improvements that will be required to achieve a good score.

Step 3: Become acquainted with oneself

You must persuade the admission committee twice – once through your paperwork and again during the interview – that you are the ideal fit for their institution. You won't be able to do this if you don't know what your x-factor is that makes you stand out, or if you don't know what your professional goals are and how the MBA programme will help you reach them. Business schools will be looking for responses to topics like why you need an MBA and how their MBA suits your goals, as well as what the degree's true worth will be in your personal and professional development.

Step 4: Selecting   Business schools

There are dozens of colleges and MBA programmes on the market, and selecting the right school, and, more importantly, the right programme, can take a long time. When you originally explored getting an MBA, you probably looked into dozens of institutions, attempting to discover the perfect fit for you. Because applying to all of them is unfeasible, select a shortlist of at least three schools to apply to, but no more than four or five. Check each school's deadline after you've finalised your school shortlist, and then start customising your application file to meet each school's standards.

Step 5: Find people who can help you.

School admissions committees place a premium on letters of recommendation. It takes time to find a good recommender who knows you well as a person and as a professional and who can write a letter of recommendation that shows you at your best. Recommenders will require time to complete the online recommendation forms, which vary for every school. Keep in mind that choosing good referees is an exercise in management. Business schools prefer professional references above academic ones. Choose referees who can speak to your abilities.

Step 6: Handle your essays and CV/resume with care.

The CV and writings reveal your personality, plans, ambitions, and objectives. Write them in the best possible way, making sure to include all of the pertinent information about yourself. Define the basic subjects you'll cover in the CV and each essay before you start writing them. Writing and polishing essays takes time. Ask someone to assist you with brainstorming ideas to include or simply as a second set of eyes to look for and correct mistakes. Also, keep an eye out for flaws in your CV that could jeopardise your application.

“Perhaps you have three years of professional experience but little extracurricular interests. You should deepen your extracurricular activity in the coming months by taking on leadership positions that will allow you to positively impact your community.”

Step 7: Seek assistance

Whether you pursue your MBA in Europe, the United States, or Asia, you will pay thousands of euros or dollars, especially when you include tuition, living expenses, and the opportunity costs of not working for one or two years. According to GMAT instructors, spending a little more to work with a professional MBA admissions expert who may significantly improve your chances of getting into the school of your dreams is a very good investment. The consultant will walk you through the entire process, assisting you with your application strategy, recommenders, CV and essay writing, and interview preparation.

Step 8: Prepare for your interview.

If your application is strong enough, you may be selected as one of the lucky applicants for the MBA interview. This is your final opportunity to shine. During the interview, you will be the focus of attention, so be prepared to answer questions about yourself, your personality, and your professional accomplishments, aspirations, and ambitions. As a result, be yourself and give your all. You'll have all the time you need to put together the most competitive application possible if you follow the above steps, start the business school application process early and work consistently over the next several months, sticking to your application strategy and meeting interim deadlines in your time management plan.
