A wellness program for students is vital for their holistic development and success. It equips them with the tools and strategies to lead healthier, more balanced, and fulfilling lives. It not only benefits the individuals directly involved but also has positive ripple effects on the institution's overall culture and success.
On 1 September 2023, IIBS organised a wellness program for the students and employees, called “Prana” in association with The Body Clinic. Dr. Rachna Sharma is the founder and MD of The Body Clinic. With 15+ years of experience in the field, Dr. Rachna Sharma is on a pursuit to find the ultimate solution to offer people physical and emotional healing along with enabling growth and success. At The Body Clinic, they practice a wide range of healing and counseling services tailor-made for the issues and personality of a person. It’s a holistic approach that not only helps a person to improve their health but allows them to reach untapped potential and transform their career, finances, and relationships.
Prana program aims to empower various communities by facilitating mindful practices. The study will be for six weeks. The first and last weeks will be dedicated to detailed analysis of pre and post-conditions for the study participants. The other four weeks would be spent implementing the mindful practices by the participants with a weekly once check-in.
There will be a continuous and rigorous involvement of 100 participants in the study for six weeks. The participants are the mix of students and faculty. Fifteen minutes of access to each participant in the first and last weeks for performing a quantitative study through electroencephalogram (EEG). A room to perform the electroencephalogram (EEG) study and assistance in scheduling with the participants.
The main outcome of the session is that it is a one-of-a-kind proactive approach to assess and assist in the mental well-being of the students and faculty and it will serve as a key differentiator in IIBS which are reactive to mental wellness. It has an Immense impact on students' personal lives and relationships with the faculty and college. It also helps to develop excellent interpersonal relationships between the faculty members and in their personal life.
