World Environment Day was celebrated on the 5th June 2018 by Tree Plantation Program organized by IIBS Rotaract Club at IIBS Bangalore Airport Campus and nearby areas. The program was inaugurated by our IIBS Hon. Chairman Dr. JayPrakash by planting a Blackberry sapling, later planting saplings were followed by Prof. Rizan Ali Baig, Registrar, Prof. N S Murthy, Prof. Kuldeep Sharma, Deans and Prof. Dr. Rajasulochana AL, Prof. Dr. Prabhakar, Prof.Dr. Samir Pradhan, Prof. Dr. A Prakash, and other faculties.
IIBS Rotaract members planted the saplings on Muthugadahalli Road, Newly being constructed New Airport’s exit road and nearby village community area. About 200 saplings were planted.
The students were also joined by several faculty members in planting saplings some of whom were Prof. Dr.Prabhakar H, Prof. Dr. Rajasulochana AL, Prof. Dr. A Prakash, Prof. Dr. Samir Pradhan and Prof. Rubina Chettri
The students then began to plant many other saplings in and around the vicinity of IIBS Airport Campus. Tree planting program was organized and coordinated by Prof. Dr. A Prakash and Prof. Rubina Chettri in association with Rotary Heritage, Bangalore. The program was a successful project and the members of IIBS Rotaract Club had managed to plant about 200 saplings.
