IIBS has organized a 14 days orientation programme for PGDM students of 2018 batch which ended up with a valedictory session, held in Clarks Exotica, Bangalore at 7 p.m. The event started with lighting up the lamp by Dr.Jay Prakash, Chairman IIBS, Prof.Rizwan Ali Baig, Registrar, IIBS, Prof.Kuldeep Sharma, Dean IIBS Airport Port Road campus and Prof.NSR Murthy, Dean IIBS RT Nagar Campus along with chief guests from corporate.
Thenceforward, We had a session of invited corporate professionals from top-notch companies - Mr.S.V.Jatti (36 years of experience in field of projects, planning O&M in Retail/Telecom, Infrastructure and Retail Industry), Mr.Anil.H.Wagde (MBA IIM Calcutta, currently VP at CSS Corp, Prior to that 3 years experience in Capgemini and 14 years in Infosys), Mr.Prasanth Nimgade (BE electronics, PGDM IIMA, Founder and CEO SIPfund.com, 22 years experience in UK, Singapore & India handling large investment in project finance) and Mr.Anand Meshram (BE Electronics, University of Mumbai, currently programmer Erricson R&D) - to enlighten the students by sharing their corporate experience.
Mr.S.V.Jatti apprized the expectations of the corporate and he emphasized on what makes one enter the corporate world and how to be the best.He affirmed that in this fastest moving pace robots would swap places of human power and take over every unskilled job in lieu of this people might go unemployed until and unless one excels his or her proficiency.
Mr.Anil.H.Wagde, illustrated the power of decision making, moulding the situation according to one’s requirement, and to make a forte of one’s area of work. Adaptability, punctuality moreover to be centralized is the key factors of an individual’s overall development.
Mr.Prasanth Nimgade was quite focused on the basic skill set such as the fundamentals like punctuality, decision making and sticking to the deadline. He considered every individual talent and asked to be the best at what one does.
Mr.Anand Meshram particularly emphasized the importance of the reading a book which not only would improve knowledge but it would help to focus on personality. It would enable a person to compete himself.
Dr. Jaypraksh, Chairman IIBS, highlighted the overall perspective of the session in his speech with a note of the need for a holistic approach towards learning. He asserted that a positive attitude, hard work, creative skills could outweigh the degree, and moreover personality takes 85% of learning. He asked to change the mindset, nurture good habits, set a goal high which would result to change everything.
The students of PGDM have shared both their experience in IIBS and how they get the orientation program benefitted. The program was concluded with a few cultural activities followed by a delicious dinner.
