VST Shakti is a manufacturer of agricultural multipurpose power tillers and tractors in India.
VST Tillers Tractors Ltd. was established in the year 1967 by the VST Group of companies, a well known century old business house in South India. We arrived at the venue around 1:30 pm, after that we gathered in front of the gate for our visiting tourists. First we went to the training section where they told us about the functions and types of machines which they produce and manufacture.
The engineer gave brief introduction of the industry and we were taken for the visit to each shop floor and were explained in detail what they do and how the tractors & tillers are manufactured. They described the technical aspects of every machine and their working. Then they took us to the manufacturing factory where they had different sections for their different parts assembly . They told us that in a peak time they assemble 100-120 machines a day. We all got the tour of both assembling and testing of the machines . We further saw both managerial and mechanical skills of the workers which allowed them to achieve their goal.
After the complete tour, we returned back to college at 5:00 pm
Conclusion:
It was a Wonderful experience for all students as well for staff. Every student was very cooperative to each-other as well to the faculties. Students were acquainted of the mechanical instruments and machines.
We (all students) are very much thankful to Prof. Kuldeep Sharma (DEAN IIBS Airport Campus) and the staff Miss. Rubina Chettri for having us a wonderful trip, and we are thankful to all the staff of V&T tillers for their guidance and knowledge.
