Every year ‘Makeintern’ conducts National and International level workshop to select the best of the teams to present a new business idea. This year it was conducted in coordination with ‘Echoes-IIM Kozhikode’ as “CarpeDiem 2017-18”. The preliminary round of workshop was held at IIBS Bangalore (Airport campus), a two-day workshop on Business Analytics by Amit Chilka (an IIM Pune alumni).
Out of all the MBA students participated from the Bangalore Cental University , MBA (AICTE approved) in the preliminary round of the workshop, five students were selected for the B-Plan Presentation Finale to be conducted by the ‘Make Intern’ in coordination with IIM-K.
The Presentation was held for two days on 3rd and 4th of February 2018 at IIM-Kozhikode. Two students from MBA Ms. Pavithra and Mr. Eshwar along with faculty Asst. Professor Rubina Chettri presented their business proposal “MUSHOYST”- Nothing is waste. A brief presentation was given on the first day about the Business Plan. The B-Plan PPT was supposed to have the Problem Statement, The Idea Summary, The current Market condition of the Idea, Marketing and Expansion Strategies and the Financial Feasibility. Each group was asked to present an idea and describe their vision towards their idea of what kind of marketing strategy they will implement with funding of Rs.20 lakhs.
Twenty colleges were shortlisted for the final detailed B-Plan Presentation out of the 62 colleges participated with six judges from various fields including two from ‘MakeIntern’. IIBS Management College was one of the colleges shortlisted for the final 20. Every participant had their own unique ideas in presenting their B-Plan. There were 3 colleges from Nepal who had traveled all the way to Kozhikode, were also on the final list of 20 colleges.
At the end of the finale, the director of ‘MakeIntern’ thanked every college present for making the event, a successful one and presented a memento to every college. He wanted the participants to work more on their plans and have a deep conceptual Knowledge of what is being done by them.
The judges also offered to mentor some of the other B-Plans, which needed guidance, for a period of six months and ensured that, next year, before the idea is presented in the ‘MakeIntern’, the participants will be well groomed by the judges as they will conduct boot camps all over the country to reach out more talents with innovative ideas.
